I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

Great photo. Nature in harmony. We are the invasive species. I remember having this conversation last year with my 6th graders and watching the light bulbs go off as they realized what it really meant. Have a wonderful day.

This was our backyard yesterday morning. We have a whole lot of nature around us, and we try not to interfere with any of them more than we already do given we live here. You have a great day too! I hope you are still on summer vacation, but so many schools are going back already, you might not be!

Yes, I was surprised, but not surprised, to see them all out there. We’ve seen the deer family, mama and two babies, and the turkey family, mom and dad and 2 babies…but not bits of both of them all together before.

Kind of looks like the Jets and the Sharks from West Side Story, getting ready for a rumble. 😊

Could be. Though I guess they were waiting for it to get dark for the actual rumble part.

Aw, this is just too pretty! Love the way they’re all getting along — of course, add one Princess to the mix, and things might be a bit different! I know one little Monkey who’d LOVE to find such a flock in his back yard, ha!

I bet he would! Katie doesn’t notice much out back now other than squirrels on her deck.
