I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

Your feelings are exactly like mine – it seems like the only news is bad news. I will be with you in spirit as you walk in the woods – I will be walking in my neck of the woods too, breathing deeply and taking the beauty of the change of season. This too shall pass and you are not alone! xoxo

Thank you, thank you. You have shared stunning photos of that good that is there amongst the trouble. Good that, as you say, is too often too hard to find.

Your photos are always so pretty, Dawn. Thank you for showing me the beauty in your world.

You ha mirrored my feelings exactly. We have some of the saddest news right now: flooding in Louisiana and the people of Afghanistan included. I do hope we can all cope and act approximately. I know we’ll survive, but we need to do so much mire.

Yup, it’s easy to get down in the dumps over the world situation these days. So much feels out of our control, and it’s tough rising above the bad feelings and emotions. Best to turn that TV off and do as you did, walking outside where Nature continues to astonish us and soothe our wounds.

Yes, shadows everywhere. Perhaps all we can do is face them with fortitude and as much creativity as we can muster. Easier said than done, I know.

The news is stressful. Too stressful to pay attention to on more than an occasional basis. I get tow daily emails that sustain my attention to the news – CNN’s Take Five and the NY Times’ weekly email. I always look forward to their weekly news quiz to test my attention to what’s going on in the world. Now the birds on the other hand, lift me up and I enjoy and I look forward to your bird photos. Thank you and have an amazing day. Peace.

Sometimes it all seems too much…I hear you. My husband always says things could be worse. 😦

With photos of nature there is no need to say anything, they speak for themselves. Your hummingbird capture is positively beautiful ❤

What do you mean you have nothing to say? You’re way too busy enjoying the simple life talking with nature. Lovely pieces.
