I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

Katie and Shasta – sleeping takes up most of their days, I think. An occasional wakeup to let us know they’re here – an occasional trip outside – the girls have earned their right to sleep their days away.

Katie is now getting 6 small meals a day, all with 1/4 C water, because she has decided she’s not going to drink water on her own. So we go outside a LOT. Other than that, if we’re up she’s up. If we are sitting quietly she’s napping. Unless she’s pointing out it’s been at least a half hour since she’s eaten.

She does sleep a lot. Though mornings are a struggle because she gets up about 3:30 or 4 and doesn’t want to settle back down for a few hours. THen she’s out for awhile!
