Backyard – what’s for lunch?

I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

  1. This reminds me of that Cat-Dog cartoon Domer used to watch when he was little! One part was cat; the other was dog. These deer look like they’re joined at the hip!

  4. Your backyard? How cool! Makes me wish we had that much snow here too in western Washington State. But I also like that it’s warmer here and doesn’t snow so much. Rain/snow … 🙂

    • Yes, this is the backyard. We have no snow left now, because it rained all day yesterday. But it’s only February. We’ll have more. So far this winter, though, we haven’t had very much at all. I think we’ve cleaned up the driveway maybe 3 times at most. If we can get to March without a blizzard it will be good. But also hopefully without very cold temps, because our plants are not protected without snow.

  5. There seem to be an abundance of deer around this year. One has learned how to climb over my fence and eats my evergreen trees….ugh. It’s a love-hate relationship!
