I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

What a lovely sight! Spring, spring, spring. We don’t have swans in Maine, and I am so envious of places that have them.

The colors are so pretty in this, Dawn–the reeds, the swan’s head…lovely.

Oh, how beautiful! What kind of swan is it? I think the Tundra Swans who vacation here during the winter months have moved on. I just learned the word “swan” in Sanskrit (as part of some chanting I’m learning in yoga class).

I think they are Mute Swans, with the orange beaks.
