I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

Nice pictures of your dad. He was born just a few years earlier than my dad. Gone but not forgotten.

Aw, such a wonderful collection of photos. A lovely post to remember your dad by. I had to smile at the dinner table with the feast to drool over including those gigantic glasses of milk. Were the guys unimpressed that they had to stop to pause before eating to pose for the photo? 😉

That looks like Thanksgiving. But we had a glass of milk with every meal. I don’t remember when that stopped, I think after I was gone. The boys would have been in their 20s there.

I was thinking it must’ve been Thanksgiving and they were likely in their 20s. It’s a great picture of three handsome men! A great memory to treasure.

Love seeing these old pictures of your dad — he looked like quite a guy, and I know you miss him still. The photo of him wrestling with that lamp made me giggle! I wonder if he’s found my dad in Heaven? I like to think they helped orchestrate our online friendship (them, Dallas, and Katie!)

Dad was bending that lamp base into a shape that my mom wanted. They made so much of their furnishings in the early days…heck even in later days! They had that lamp for a long time.

What would we do without photographs to connect us with loved ones who are now gone/
