Penny here.

Has anybody seen my mom? I can’t find her and she’s been missing for at least 3 days. Maybe more!

I’ve looked and looked in all her favorite places. You know, like in her bed, and on her sofa, and in her favorite chair and at the dinner table.

Maybe she’s lost in one of my parks! I’d drive over there to look but I don’t have a driver’s license!

I asked my dad, and he said not to worry, he says mom is fine, she’s just taking some “Penny-free time” for herself.

Penny-free?!?!?!

What the heck does that even mean?

Anyway dad said to tell you all not to worry, and that mom will get that Walktober collection post done as soon as she gets home. I figured you guys would want to know.

Meanwhile I’m going to sleep in her bed next to my dad every night. Maybe if I make her jealous she’ll come home to us.

    Awww, poor Penny. It’s not because she doesn’t love you that she cannot bring you every time. Sometimes it cannot be avoided. Plus, look at the bright side, you don’t have to share Dad with anyone!

    And I’m glad she didn’t do the Walktober collection post yet because I was late this year…

    Penny-free?? Makes no sense to me! Mom is going to need your guidance to get her Walktober post completed. Probably sticking close to Dad will be rewarded with a lot of treats.

    “Penny-free time” sounds pretty pointed to me Penny. Alas, you are stuck with Dear ol’ Dad – cuddle up close as it’s cold tonight and Dad will probably appreciate all that pretty fur.

    Penny-free?? How shocking! That’s a concept neither Monk nor I can wrap our heads around. We’re practically joined at the hip, you know! As for your mom, Miss Penny, well, I’m sure she’s not really lost. She’s just away for a few days. Moms sometimes need time by themselves. And your plan to sleep in her big bed with your daddy sounds perfect. Maybe you can continue doing that when she gets back??

    Oh poor Penny!! I’m sure your Mom is safe and happy (even with you not being there lol!) but I am sure she misses you! That reminds me…….maybe I need to get some photos together and make a post. Levi and I walk all the time but I rarely take pictures on my walks!
