I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.
Love that photo of Penny — that’s exactly the look the Monk gives me on a regular basis! And I can empathize, too, with how you’re feeling. So much to do, and so little time to do it in (especially when they give you THAT look!)
Hi, Dawn! I understand. Right now I have Henri snuggled on my lap…starting laundry can wait just a bit. My boy was feeling a little needy & needed some “mommy time.” This can be non negotiable at times. Like mornings, when belly rubs must be given before Henri will stand up so I can put on his harness. I love my little beast.
I look forward to see where you and your sister visited. I know you will have plenty of gorgeous photos to share. 😊
I am catching up on reading your posts. I know you are excited to begin practice for your band concert(s). It would be great if they would consider recording them again. I enjoyed the concert that you shared with us in the past. 😊
I’m almost done with the editing of a few hundred images. I won’t be able to share THAT many with you, but I’ll pick out the prettiest plasces we visited and share from those. Oh. And of course there were barns on the way down and more barns on the way up.
Penny sure has you wrapped around her paw as it should be. 🙂 Since we’ve had such gorgeous weather here in Michigan the last ten or so days, I’m sure you had a wonderful time, got some beautiful night skies images, maybe an Aurora shot or two and some memorable sister-time as well.
I am finishing up the last batch of editing from that trip. A week I’ve been home, and still have much to do. But trying to get them done because since then I’ve been to Kensington, my favorite bird place, with new updates to my camera focusing…so I want to share those with you all too!
I saw some of your pics on FB, looking forward to the stories to go with them. I have some too, but I’m back in school of course and my time for blog writing is harder to come by. We have a rainy weekend upon us right now, and I spent yesterday watching movies and eating snacks – it was a good way to decompress.
I’m sure school takes up most all of your time. But am glad you got to watch some movies this weekend. We had a bit of rain but not much, it all must have headed over to your place.
Penny missed you! I am sure it’s good to be home. I have a few untold stories myself, I hope to breathe life into them this fall. have a great week and I look forward to your camping story. Peace.
I bet you do! Of course I love the school stories too, as well as the up north stories. Actually you’re really good at story telling, so whichever you choose to share, I’m in.

We could get a lot more done if time just wasn’t in such a hurry to pass by.

Yep. She wins every time. I’ll be heading out to a park or a store right after I finish answering these comments. Or maybe before I finish.

4 nights of camping and NO RAIN! That hardly ever happens, no matter where I have camped.

I adore your first sentence. It could be the start of a novel. It’s intriguing. Can’t wait to read the story.
