I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

These are so beautiful Dawn. The contrast with the tree makes them even more special!

It’s near the bird feeders. We had to cut down a lot of trees there, so it’s pretty much the last tree standing. All the birds arrive and perch there while they scope out the feeder situation.

This pink beech tree was an impulse purchase at the local nursery many years ago. Who knew it would grow up to be so beautiful.

Between the Beech tree and the feeders, you are certainly the most-popular house on the block for your feathered friends!

I always feel we have ‘all’ the neighborhood birds..and am always surprised when I see ‘my’ birds at the neighbors’ birdbaths and feeders.

I think “your birds” go the neighbors for leftovers and to be polite. Two neighbors and I used to feed a Fox Squirrel we called “Sammy” for many years. He made the rounds every morning to all three houses to see what goodies were put out for him that day. He’d do this “round robin” over and over until everything was gone … to not slight anyone of course. 🙂

Most birds use it as a temporary perch while carefully approaching the feeders. They love to hide in it.

This reminded me of old grade school photos where everyone got the same background 😊 I remember in 4th grade we got one with trees behind us and we rested our arms on a fake fence. I thought that was the greatest.
Love your variety of birds. Really cool to spot the juvenile oriole!
