I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

We were feeding some other birds and I guess he thought the behavior was beneath his status.

I know. He was not approving of our behavior on the boardwalk. We were paying too much attention to other birds. Such frivolous humans.

I think she’s smiling. Who can tell?? Should the shape of an eye or the curve of the mouth tell the tale? Should all animals and birds look just like humans? I think she’s smiling. 🙂

It’s possible. She didn’t get a treat so I’m not sure she’d be smiling, but it’s possible she was on a diet and congratulating herself on resisting our offerings. She definitely felt superior to all of us measly humans. So it might have been a smirk.
