I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

For a long time it seemed the colors were silver, black, white and red. Just lately I’m seeing blue more and more, and some green too! I even know a woman with a bright yellow car!
Yellow was popular way back – my dad had a canary yellow Corvette in ’79-’80. There still is a lot of black, grey, silver and white but yes, more blues and greens and weird colours (chartreuse? a purply-type of fuschia)
That looks like a lot of fun Dawn – you got some great shots of these cars, with glossy paint jobs that you can see yourself in. I stopped at the “Ponies in the Park” at Memorial Park which was part of the Cruisin’ Downriver event. I stop there every few years to see all the classic Mustangs.
Me too! I got to talk to a few of the owners that day and one couple sold their Mustang, then missed the cruises, the shows and being in the Michigan Mustang Club and bought another one!
Lots of beauties there! I wish they would bring back those 1950’s pastel blue colors! And I really wish cars without all the electronics would make a come back too.
My sister looked and looked for a basic pickup truck with windows you roll down using a handle. Nothing out there. So I get what you’re saying. I have been seeing more blue cars around, but not the pastel blue you’re loving.

Old cars had so much personality. Today? Everything is same, same, same in everything, cars, decor, etc.
