I’m still in Alabama…sitting at a coffee shop in Auburn checking email. I’ll be back home for one night and then I’m going to Washington DC for a few days to meet with Transportation Secretary LaHood! I’m excited to get to speak about our safety issues to someone so high in the administration. I’m sure I”ll tell you more about that later. For now I’m just relaxing and enjoying being with family.

Hi Dawn! Sounds like you’re busy traveling now. Enjoy yourself. P.S. my daughter might be visiting Washington DC sometime in the first part of December. However she won’t be visiting anyone in the administration I don’t think.

Sounds like you are having a good time! Mom used to live in Columbus, GA/Phenix City, AL so she knows where Auburn is!
It’s great that you will be able to speak with the Transportation Secretary! Hope he listens and takes action!

You went south and we went north. Glad you are enjoying yourself in Alabama. Did Katie go with you?
Good luck talking to the Secretary of Transportation. If it was Essex going to D.C., she would want to talk to the Secretary of Da Fence. BOL.

Enjoy your time in the South….please tell theSecretary of Transportation that I cringe each time I’m on the roads and I see a big truck behind, passing me and in front of me. Just last night I watched a trucker weave back and forth in my lane and into the next. If I could have gotten close, I would have called in his plate to the police. Each time I tried to pass him, he would swerve into my lane…..scary….
