I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

  2. Hurray for Katie! Look at her running that plank! WooHoo! Have you tried a treat on a target plate at the end of the board? I love that!

  3. Ricky, I have put a treat at the end of the board…but not on a target plate just off. That might help with the idea of contacts…right? Plus she still won’t go UP the board..

  8. Sorry I forgot to check back here yesterday – I don’t know anything for sure, mind you, but if you did put a target plate a couple feet from the end of the board, you might get her to run off the end faster (she won’t ever need 2o2o probably so just make it like a running contact like mine) then maybe she would love that target so much that if you had another board she may run up it and then down the second board without realizing what she’s doing out of her excitement to get to the target. But remember, we really don’t know what we are doing, so take our advice with a grain of salt! (is that the saying?)

  9. Ha ha! Thanks Ricky! We had agility last night…I’ll be writing all about it shortly. I think. They used a target plate which she looked at once but wouldn’t take anything of theirs off. She’ll only take stuff from me. But I think here at home she’d be very interested in a target plate.
