Change Is Hard

…but change is certain.

Hope

This was going to be a Wordless Wednesday…but I had to get my food blog up…

So I present these photos as a sign that spring can not be that far away… even though some of you are getting buried (yet again) by winter’s wrath.

The first is a sign in front of our local nursery…and the second is inside my local grocery store.

Time to smile.  There is hope.

I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

  3. Somewhere around 53 days to go!

About your Detroit Symphony strike comment – that is a nasty situation. They are asking for huge cuts – unbelievably draconian. It’s just so sad.

Wish you could be here for our concert tonight – I know you would love it! 🙂

  5. If I’d thought of it I would’ve photographed seeds for the food photography assignment! I do love these little promises that this winter, too, shall pass.

  6. Yep, before you know it I will be complaining about the heat of summer ;-), time just keeps flying by so quickly, more quickly each year

  7. Don’t you just love daffodils ? They always looks so bright and cheerie. I actually saw them in the local market this weekend and thought the same thing – spring is coming.

  8. We’ve had an unusually warm and dry January, but I know the other shoe is going to drop and winter will come back. I am ready for spring though, and the picture of the daffodils is just sooooo cheery! Thank you for the bright spot in the morning.

  10. Our grocery store has little weeping willow trees that are covered with pussy willows (or however you’d say that). So cool!
But I can’t allow myself to believe that spring will come soon.

  11. When my son was in early childhood (Waldorf School) the children would sing the song

Spring is coming, spring is coming, birdies build your nest! Weave together straw and feather doing each
    your best.
Spring is coming, spring is coming, flowers are coming too. Pansies, lilies, daffodillies, all are coming
    through!
Spring is coming, spring is coming, all around is fair. Shimmer quiver on the river, Joy is everywhere!

Usually not in January tho….: -). Thanks for the encouraging post that Spring will come once again. Loved the pictures!
