Change Is Hard

…but change is certain.

Colors and textures of another place

Guess where I am.

Hint:  It’s not snowing here.

Though it’s not exactly hot either.

But it IS colorful!

So…where do you think I am?

I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

  2. It sure looks like Mexico, but maybe you’re just messing with us. You do have a friend in Phoenix. Perhaps you’re there.
Torey was in Phoenix two weekends ago, and she said it wasn’t hot. Plus, that pottery doesn’t look quite like the Talevera pottery I’ve seen.

  3. Austin? Taos? Phoenix? Someplace in the Southwest anyway–New Mexico, Arizona, Texas. They’ve all had a cold spell, but they’re still going to warm the cockles of a visitor’s heart. And the food . . . oh lordy. Eat some of that good cooking for me.

  5. It certainly looks like Mexico or maybe even San Diego. How nice to be somewhere with no snow.

  6. Me too – more clues needed! (but hope you are having fun wherever you are)

  7. I will go with the Mexico guess, too. Or could it be Santa Fe? Wherever the pictures are from, are you really there now? And where is Katie, pray tell? (I love those butter dishes!)

  8. hmmmm…more clues tonight. PJ: I loved the butter dishes too. Kaybeth, thanks for not giving it away, cause you KNOW! The rest of you, you might be able to bribe Kaybeth…and Katie is having a lovely time at “camp.”

  9. I’m going to go with Arizona or New Mexico. My first thought was Mexico, but I dismissed that. I will not, however, attempt to be any more specific. Wherever you are, it looks like a great place to tour and take pictures, so enjoy!

  10. I wondered where you were! And you’re off traveling…somewhere in the southwest. My first guess was Mexico. But maybe the SW of the US of A?

  11. Kaybeth,
Dawn says she’ll bring you the coolest thing from her travels (a very practical sweatshirt) if you tell the rest of us where she is! ( or something like that) Oh, wait, sweatshirts are unheard of there!
Katie may be at camp, but Dawn is the lucky dog!

  12. I don’t even have a guess, but I see that I’m way behind in reading, so I’m moving on the next post to see if that helps me out….
