It’s too hot for excellent adventures. It’s too hot to play. It’s too hot to go on a walk. It’s just too hot.
So Katie would like to remind all of us that it wasn’t that long ago that we thought it was too cold out to play. Or go on excellent adventures.
Just saying.

I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

I LOVE winter. It just takes the summer to remind me of that! Much rather be freezing than sweaty.

I will take too hot over too cold any day! I am a summer girl through and through, but I think Teddy and Daphne would disagree. They are feeling quite bored due to no one wanting to play or go outside.

This is an excellent post. Just looking at Katie looking up at me–OK, she was looking up at you–makes me want to go out in the snow and play. In a t-shirt and flip-flops. All of this is why I am an autumn girl through and through. It can be amazingly golden and warm. If it gets cold, I can put on a layer of fleece and be comfy. No fuss, no muss, no snow to shovel. No sweat.

There are those too hot and those too cold, which make the in-betweens that much more precious! I am definitely an in-between person, which is the kind of summer we’re having. So far. I’m loving it. I’d love to send some to you.

Jim Harrison wrote a poem about this once. The poet’s point of view was that it was “never too anything” for what a person really wanted to do. I won’t tell you what the poet had in mind.

You have to laugh about the way we humans want winter when it’s summer and summer when it’s winter. My son Christopher advises moving to San Diego. He says it’s about 68 year round. (I don’t know if I would like that. I kinda like the differences, although the extremes can be challenging.)

Some people are never satisfied! 🙂 It’s beautiful in San Jose–a tad on the warm side but nothing to make news about.

I’m all for living somewhere that’s moderate all year…and close enough to DRIVE to see extremes! 🙂

The weather is hot and miserable although we are experiencing a bit of a reprieve…the cost was storms that flooded basements…fortunately not mine. I have been taking Rascal on field trips to pet stores and letting her pick out a toy to curb boredom.
Perhaps we will all have a glorious fall!

Well, I’m with Karma on this one. I’ll take too hot over too cold any day. But I’m in the minority in my house.
