I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

Poor little cold thing! I just wish I could wrap them all in wooly blankets at this time of year!

It makes me sad too. I try to keep the feeders full for them and water in the birdbath…but it’s hard. They eat so much and the heated birdbath drys up the water so fast!

poor little guy. It is so frigid that all of their water is frozen!

The bird bath is heated which is probably why he was there. He needs to fly south.

I know. I think this one made a tactical error in judgement.

I’m glad that little robin is as chubby as s/he is. S/he will need the bulk to get through this winter.

I wonder what he/she’ll eat. There are crab apples on the trees under the ice..have never seen a robin at the feeders, but I hope she/he knows she’s welcome there.
