Washington DC’s metro system. One of the things I love about DC.

I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

I love their metro system – so clean and easy to use. And it doesn’t smell like urine like they sometimes do in NYC or Boston!

I enjoyed NYC’s too when I was there. I think it’s the novelty for me. I love to see where they go and watch people.

That photo really captures the energy of city life.
WHy is it so much fun to ride a subway, but a city bus, not so much?

Actually I used to LOVE riding the Ann Arbor bus when I was back at school. Same idea for me, novelty, people watching. I used to blog about the bus ride into campus pretty regularly.
