WordPress Photo Challenge: Intricate

As usual I had lots of ideas, places to go, things to look at.  And then I decided to stay at home and enjoy this beautiful weather in my own yard.

You can see all the interpretations of Intricate at the original post, or check out a few of my favorites here, here and here.

This is a really interesting topic and one I’d like to explore further.  We’ll see if I find anything more.  Might be later this summer.  Or winter.  Or sometime.  Meanwhile look around in your own life.  What do you notice, what’s beautiful because of it’s intricacies?

I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

  3. Love those little blue flowers, Dawn. How thrilling it is to see color at ground level this time of year!

  4. Beautiful, Dawn. I love the details, and the color is wonderful. Hyacinth? I think that’s one of the reasons I enjoy nature photography so much — the intricacies, most of which I don’t see until I put it on my computer monitor. I sometimes wonder, though, if my brain catches these things even though my vision doesn’t.

  5. These are grape hyacinths. Tiny little bulbs planted in fall come up in spring and multiple each year.
