Tuesday evening I was lucky enough to be in northern Michigan watching the sun set. This is a closeup of the water as the sun sank below the horizon.
I couldn’t resist showing it to you.

I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

Stunning shot! Here in land-locked Central Illinois, this is a sight we rarely see. I like your header, too!

Thank you Debbie! You’re not too far from Lake Michigan no matter where you are in Illinois. Would be a good weekend road trip!

Yes, it was pretty amazing in person too. I’ll post more photos of the entire sunset in the blog shortly.

Thank you! The lighthouse is my folks’ favorite. I go there and think about them whenever I’m in that part of the country.

Where in Northern Michigan? I am on Lake Margrethe in Crawford County. Last night’s sunset was amazing, but that is Pure Michigan.
