Saturday on Lake Michigan.

I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

These were all taken Saturday, and it was very peaceful that morning, before most of the neighbors showed up for the holiday weekend.

It is fun, though I don’t like those little forward and backard buttons at the bottom of the photos.

I know, right? Yesterday morning walking on the beach the lake was totally calm, blue with a pink tinge. It was amazing.

I wish I was by the lake today… boats would be in, dock and lifts, too. It will have to wait until next weekend. Thanks for the inspiration. Enjoy what’s left of your time by the shore. Peace.

Enjoy your time there next weekend! Maybe it will be less crowded! I’m home now and already missing ‘my’ lake.

Just SO lovely Dawn! Love the lakes so much.
Just saw your comment on my site and wanted to tell you I’ll be in Birch Run June 16 & 17. That’s about as close as I’ll be to you. I think it’s 40 some miles? Don’t know if you feel like meeting up for coffee or something…or if you will even be around at that time. Let me know if it’s something you feel like doing. 😀

I think we should pencil that in. Birch Run isn’t that far away. Just drove by it today! 🙂 So far I’ve tried to keep June sort of empty because maybe my sister and brother are coming up from Alabama…but I don’t have any dates pinned down for them. So I’ll have to be flexible but would love to see you and the dogs AND the Casita! 🙂 Are you camping up there? Or staying with friends?

I know. It was such an amazing morning. The lake was flat, the sky was blue and there was a pinkish mist out at the horizon. It was wonderful.
