Shells on Florida’s beaches were prolific last week.
I couldn’t resist bringing some home with me.

I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

You found some great shells. At Pawleys Island where we vacation, we’re lucky if a few chips wash ashore. But we pick those up, too!

That’s what I’m used to also, just bits and pieces, and truly there ARE a lot of pieces, some of which I picked up. But we also were lucky enough to find many whole shells as well. I’m working on a couple projects with the shells I brought home.

I had the help of an expert sheller. She has an eye and finds things I never notice.
