The last day before a new photo challenge pops up I went for a walk to find a particular thing. I didn’t find what I was looking for, but I did notice the lines in the wetlands, made up mostly of cattails from last year.

But notice — not all the lines are plant material.

I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

Didn’t move a feather while I was there, even when I got closer than this. I think there’s probably a nest close by, maybe mom was sitting in the rushes just off camera.

I love your work! And you’re right, it’s very similar…only I would feel less threatened by the crane than the lioness!
