While being a tourist in Washington DC a few years ago, I noticed this old dog waiting patiently for his people from behind the glass of a window in Georgetown.
He was so sweetly sad that I had to capture the moment.

I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

‘sweetly sad’ is the perfect description of this little one. Such a great capture, Dawn.

Poor old thing. I hope they didn’t leave him long.

If I remember right we were going by about rush hour in the afternoon. I’m sure someone was headed home from work to him.
