Thank you to all who read, liked, and/or commented on the previous post. It’s a heavy topic and several of you sent me articles and links outside the comment section as well. I don’t want any of you to think I took your responses lightly, I’m still processing some of it myself.
Meanwhile Katie and I are going camping for a few days. I think we’ll be mostly out of touch, but I’m sure you’ll hear from us when we return. Katie has been unusually quiet lately, and I’m sure she’ll have plenty to say when we get back.

We had fun, though cold! The third day was beautiful and made up for the wind and rain of the first two days!

Thank you, we had a great site right on Saginaw Bay. That made it pretty windy and cold during a couple of the days, but the view was spectacular when the sky cleared up!

Lots of chipmunks, but she didn’t really notice any of them. She’s lost most of her hearing and slept through a lot of stuff, which actually made my job a bit easier this trip!

We had a great time. She slept on her bed about 50% of the time. When she gets warm she climbs down and sleeps on the floor for awhile until she decides to get back on her princess pillow again. She also has 2 regular people pillows on top of the princess bed. She feels special.

I liked tent camping. Decided to get the travel trailer though as the one thing that I really didn’t like about tenting was rain in the mornings, hard to get a nice cup of coffee. Hope you have nice weather and a great adventure.

Katie and I just got home a couple of hours ago. Tuesday the wind was so strong it was hard to get the tent up and then we retreated into it to help hold it down. Wednesday it was cold and then foggy and then rainy. Thursday was absolutely beautiful, almost made me forget about the previous days! Of course today was also beautiful, but we had to come home. I will be glad to be warm tonight, it was cold all 3 nights.l We love tent camping, but it’s getting harder for me to get out of bed in the morning when the bed is so close to the ground!
