I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

She likes you, so she’ll give you a pass on the bad jokes. She says yours are at least funny…unlike her mama’s.

She is usually a very happy girl…except if she’s found herself at the groomer or the vet. But a park? Oh yea, she’s HAPPY!

Looks like you had a nice walk. We’re getting some warm weather over the next few days so I’ll need to take Keltic on a nice walk somewhere, not just one of our usual walks.

Yes, a walk somewhere special will be good for both of you.

We’ve had more than our share of gray, rainy days … not ideal for long-haired dogs. Looks like this princess spotted some cookies in her mama’s hand and couldn’t get to her fast enough!

Since she can’t hear anymore, she’s decided to run to me every time I put her in a sit and then move away to get a shot. Silly goofy happy girl.

She doesn’t hear either? Is that a Sheltie-thing? I don’t recall any of Dallas’s kin being hard of hearing, but he sure is. I find it more frustrating that he does, though.

Our previous sheltie went deaf about the same time. The one before that died at 10 so didn’t get this old. I don’t know if it’s a sheltie thing, but it’s certainly been my experience.

Thanks for that. My previous one didn’t seem to have that issue, and his breeder says it’s not from her line.
