I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

I know! I stoppe for a few minutes at Kensington on my way back from Ann Arbor one day, just to check on the progress of the blue heron chicks, and when I got back to the car this guy was standing right next to the driver’s door of my car. I had my really long lens on so he was too close for a good shot, but I liked this one of part of him.

This is a sandhill crane. I don’t know if they are related to herons but I don’t think so.
