I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

    • I love watching the young ones figure stuff out. We still have bluejays and cardinals feeding their young ones at the feeder…then when the adult gets tired and leaves, the youngsters help themselves. Typical teenagers.

  4. I recognized it was a juvenile, but read the comments above and discovered the species. I am sure there are orioles in the area, but i have yet to see one visit the feeder. Keep enjoying summer.

  6. Yo must always have a camera in your hand, by the time I get mine out they’ve flown off. Both Mr and Mrs Cardinal were on the teeter yesterday, not at the same time.

    • LOL. It’s usually laying around somewhere close, but lots of times it’s at the other end of the house and I miss great stuff. The orioles are getting used to us moving around in the living room, and in fact often tell us directly that there’s no more jam out there!
