The United States opened it’s borders today to all Canadians, even those with nonessential business. We’ve missed our neighbors and encourage them to come on over!
This leaf, seen on today’s walk, reminded me of the Canada/United States border.
There are rules, of course. Everyone coming across the border has to be fully vaccinated. And to get back into their country they’ll need a recent negative covid test.
I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.
Yes I think many of them like to shop here and visit the Casinos:) Congratulations! You won an ornament, please email me your address. Hi to Princess Katie!
How wonderful that some things at least are starting to improve! Down here, we’re far enough from the border that it would require a lot of effort for our neighbors to make their way down, but still, it’s nice to know they now can.

Very good news. Though it still isn’t easy to travel.

We look at Canada regularly, whenever we’re in Detroit, or even Port Huron. We wave, but it will be nice if they can just come over.

So many people are going to be so thrilled to see friends and family again! My daughter-in-law is going to visit her mom in South Korea next week.

That must have been so hard, to be apart from family all this time.

Thank you. I was looking for a totally red maple leaf, then decided I liked this two tone one better.

Maple leaves are beautiful no matter what color they are. You found a beautiful example of the transitional stage!
