I was at Kensington wandering around looking for birds while this photographer was stationed in one spot watching one subject. I’m a bit envious of his equipment, but I think I had more fun.
Thanks, Cee for hosting these black and white challenges!

I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

There were 3 of them there, 2 down closer to the water. I sat up on the road and shot the nest from my car. Lazy me. He waved at me as I drove off. The osprey had flow further away, too far for my camera, into a tree. I think this photographer was going to wait for her to come back. I didn’t get any good images of her but she was fun to watch.

Now that is a camera with a very expensive lens. Great capture and find. I would love to see the nest being built too.

And there’s another lens on the ground next to the tripod!

It is intriguing to capture a photo of someone photographing. Yours looks especially good in black and white.

I liked it in black and white too. He’s no one I know, but it is a nice image.

You know, ink that equipment might weigh more than Monkey!! Glad you had more fun — you can invest in this kind of equipment, but you can’t buy FUN!

I thin his equipment probably DOES weigh more than Monkey! I wouldn’t want to lug it around. I’d like to LOOK through it to see what it does, but unless I have someone to carry it, I’m not interested in owning it!

That might cause me some momentary lens envy, but I’m like you, I have to be able to move around!

Yes, my long lens, going up to 400mm is heavy enough for me!

Could be! I’d like to look through it and I’m sure if I had asked he’d have let me. But I don’t want to own one.

Yep, it’s not about your equipment, it’s about the joy and fun you have. I love your photos, Dawn!

Yes, I love to walk in the woods, and I’d need a wagon for all his equipment! Or an assistant.
