I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

Thank you. We are home now. I am exhausted. I think we caused some people to think. Whether or not they will MOVE on things remains to be seen. Also this session of Congress is over at the end of this year. So that means we get to start over again with new legislation and new people and new hope next year.

Thank you. Snapped with my phone as we were climbing one of many flights of stairs during our two day stretch of educating the Hill.

I love it because it is a slice of life and we get to wonder where they are going or what they are saying…

Thanks Lois. I think we did. Though most (but not all) of the offices I spoke with were on our side on at least a couple of our issues. We just want them to remember to listen to both sides of any argument that involves safety.

You are so welcome. I know we are saving lives, but it’s hard to quantify. You never know when someone DOESN’T die.

Hopeful … and frustrating. I’m holding out for the hopeful part. I email my Senators and Reps every time you post something about this, Dawn, all of them, each of them. If we all do that, then maybe we’ll get them to MOVE, not just listen. Hey everyone, email your reps in Congress … now! Don’t put it off.
Peace be with you Dawn.

Thank you Ann. I’ll be posting about the whole conference soon. I am so so tired I can’t seem to get it in gear to write. Most years I write that post while I’m still there and it’s fresh. But this year all I could do at the end of each day was sink into sleep.

Always climbing. I appreciate your hard work.
I got redistricted this year….and now have Elise Stefanik 😥 Will try and vote her out in November, with hopes of gaining someone who will give you an ear.

We got redistricted too. Lost our Congresswoman who supported us and will now have a Congresswoman who believes the big lie. No way she will lose. We’ll try.
