While out at my favorite park trying to get shots of birds I learned a lesson.

You have to be quick. Otherwise you get a lot of this.

Not that I mind too much. This was cool too.

I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

I kinda like those “just missed” shots myself! (I best, since I have a load of ’em!)

LOL. I liked this one because of the bits of snow left behind. But I have plenty of shots of an empty branch with nothing magical about it.

I bet we all do! But this one was so cool because of the snow left floating behind.

Yes, I smiled when I saw this miss…on a bigger screen so that I could see those bits of snow floating away.

That’s amazing that you got the snow-fly as it vanished!

I know, that was SO COOL, when I saw it I just grinned. I always say you never know what you have until you get home and look at the shots on a bigger screen. I hardly every delete out in the field.

That’s how it is at our feeders, I simply lift the phone or the camera, and they’re gone. Admire your patience and grit.

Sometimes it’s frustrating. I probably have thousands of images that will only ever be in my mind. But you keep on trying because sometimes you get something truly beautiful. Or interesting. Or both.
