I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

Remember the times you had together. The times you two laughed so hard that…well, you know. Peace.

I didn’t know your mom but she lived a long life and would have experienced many highs and lows and witnessed a rapidly changing world. I hope you have many sweet memories of your time together. My father was a similar age and he lived with us in his last three and half years. It wasn’t always easy but I’m grateful for our time together.

She was about 3 weeks shy of 76. Now days that doesn’t seem old at all. My siblings and I have a lot of memories, though I regret I didn’t get down there often enough.

When I read the birth date and death date I totally misread the year of her death. I thought it said 2024.

Well, 76 is still a good life. But I do wish I had more time with her.

Happy anniversary in Heaven, Dawn’s mom! Dawn, your mom was three years younger than my mom. I like to think maybe they’ve now met in Heaven and are swapping stories over their love of their families. Hang onto your memories. I know time heals most wounds, but our hearts never forget our loved ones. {{{ Hugs }}}

Maybe they have met, and our dads too. They’d all have lots of stories. I think they’d all be proud of us too, the way we’ve carried on.

Those anniversaries. 😦 I am always glad that my family took photos and kept them around.
