Penny here. You have probably noticed a definite lack of posts from my mom. She’s neglecting this blog, yes she is, but that’s not all she’s neglecting!

Did you know that February 11th was my Gotcha Day? No you did not. Did my Gotcha Day get celebrated? No it did not.

Mom tried to make it better by telling me that they celebrate me every day, but I’m not buying it. Strike one for mom.

Then I hear very late in the day that yesterday was National Love Your Pet Day or something like that! And did I get presents and cake and streamers and stuff? No I did not.
Strike two, mom!

And NOW I see on Facebook that TODAY is National Dog Biscuit Day!

Well! Enough is enough and I am going to file a complaint about being neglected unless I get a whole bunch of treats, and they better be the good kind too, not just part of my daily allotment of kibble.
Otherwise it’s gonna be Strike three, mom!

I ask you, how much should a Sheltie girl take before she pulls rank on the mom and dad? Now’s the time to organize! Now’s the time to protest! Now’s the time to take control!

Who’s with me?
PS: All these pictures were taken this week when mom took me to some parks to play in the snow and up to my breeder’s house to play with my dog mom and my niece Sarah. (so maybe mom doesn’t totally neglect me….maybe.)

Ummm, Penny, I’ve seen all of those pictures of your playing in the snow, so I think your mom does just fine by you. You might want more, but don’t we all? And really, we do need to be happy with having enough, then when we get more it’s all the more special? You know?

Penny! You closed your eyes in the one picture in the snow! Way to get back at mom. But **ahem** I should be the adult not the encourager, I guess. Anyway, I still think that is pretty funny. Is that four Pennys in that one picture? Your mom did really good with that and with the last photo of you. Maybe you can cut her a little slack (just this one time) because she took some pretty great photos of you–especially the one with your eyes closed. 😂

You are really cute Penny. I’m sure your mom can’t be neglecting you that much–look at all the pictures she took of you!

Hmm – you know I did notice your absence here at WordPress Penny and Mom posted some cutie-pie birds and elegant swans, so I kind of thought you were refusing to put on those boots to go outside again, so no boots = no pictures. But it’s warmed up a tad, so here you are! You sure do look pretty – my favorite picture is your nose covered with snow. Very nice! P.S. – I hope with this post that Mom is back in your good graces again.

Penny, stay off social media and you’ll be a much happier pup! Good advice for the rest of us too, come to think of it. But visiting blogs doesn’t count 😉.

Moms need reminders!! Sometimes moms think only the rest of us need reminders, but sometimes Moms need them too. Good for you for doing that Penny. You are smart! And beautiful! 🙂

We are going to have to agree to disagree Penny… there are a lot of pictures of this supposedly neglected girl.

You make great points here, Penny. Now IS the time to organize! Now IS the time to protest! Now IS the time to make our voices heard!

Aw, Penny, that picture of you with your “snow nose” is just too precious! And I love seeing you with all those other Shelties. But you’ve raised an interesting point, and the Monk is with you 100 percent. After all, his Gotcha Day on Feb. 20 was completely overlooked, too, despite Mama having noted it down on her calendar. Hmm, how about if Monk brings the protest signs for your march?!

Happy Gotcha Day, Penny!! Walks in the snow and visiting your biological mother and relatives is not nothing, so, yeah, maybe a little protest but nothing too huge.
