I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

The snow makes the world so different. Quieter. Lighter, especially at night. Joyously peaceful. Your photo captures a tiny bit of that.

Unless you have a dog you have to take out on a leash to do her business. 5 or 6 times a day. I’m already tired of putting on the boots and scarf and hat and coat and gloves. She’s tired of waiting for me to do all that too.

scarf, hat, coat, gloves and ice grips. But I refuse to take him out during daylight. So I only gear up three or four times each night. What a spoiled pooch!

Definitely. The Japenese maple held on to her leaves for a long time this year, and dropped most of them the day or so before all the snow. A few are still blowing around.

Very striking red on white, Fall versus Winter … oh wait, it’s still Fall (though it sure doesn’t feel or look like it out there!)

Yes and I hate it! Supposedly we’re having a brief warm-up in two weeks. Sigh.

Such a pretty contrast, but signals winter has definitely arrived. Last leaf on fallen snow. We have dodged that bullet so far, but they say this weekend maybe
