Just got back from picking up the Katie-girl.
The woman manning the front desk at the kennel told the helper person to get “the calm Sheltie.” Right. They said she was “really quiet.” Right. That she “liked to run in circles in her pen.” Really?
She barked at me the entire way home. After two walks around the yard to sniff everything and a rousing game of frisbee in the back yard she’s finally settled down with a big sigh for a nap.
We got home at 2:30 a.m. last night. I could do with a nap myself. More on our trip later. (Thanks Ellen for the post about our visit!)
Yawn.

I guess she had a lot to tell you about her adventures and also about her opinion about you going on vacation without her. Now you’re all a happy together family again.

How fun that you got to meet a fellow blogger in person!
Home is always a good place to be, especially when you share it with a sleepy dog.
Rest up! Reality awaits……

Glad you are home safe and sound! How neat to get to hang out with Ellen – it is so fun to meet blogging friends! I am sure Katie saved up all her energy and barking for you – she didn’t want to waste any on the kennel! 🙂

Reunion with Katie was, I’m guessing, the best part of coming home.

Katie had to make sure her yard was as she left it, and that you were aware of what went on in her life while you were gone. Maybe even with a few complaints about the fact that you went on all those adventures without her. I’m sure there was also a “I’m so glad we’re together again” in there.

I have a strict policy..if I accept your check…I only share the things I love about your pup. Nobody wants to pay me and then have me complain about their pup. My other policy is what happens at camp stays at camp…so if a pup snatches a bagel it’s our secret and if I say, if you bark one more time I will take your ears and tie them in a bow around your neck….we don’t tell. Works really well. Home sweet home!

I just clicked over and looked at Ellen’s blog–what a nice friendly picture of you waving. Welcome back to Michigan, Dawn. Glad Katie-girl behaved so well while you were gone.

One has to do a thorough checking of the year – there is no telling what might of wondered through when she wasn’t there to protect it

Where have I been? I didn’t know you’d gone on a trip. I’m certain Katie was letting you know that leaving her is not the thing you’re supposed to do – and also telling you she was very happy you were home again.

I just realized that somehow I went back a year in your blog – not sure how I did that! I remembered that you had been in the San Francisco area last year, and was a little surprised you were back there now. Mystery resolved – except for the how I got to these posts part.
