Twenty years since I last wished you a Happy Father’s Day.

Twenty years went by in a flash.

The 48 years of your fatherhood were gone in the blink of an eye too.
As were you.

Miss you every day.
Happy Father’s Day, Dad.

I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

Yes. I know I’m not the only one missing fathers on this weekend. But it does feel sad.

Things we wish we could say to our dads. I think they can hear them. Peace.

Awwww Terri, I’m sorry. Recent is harder than 20 years ago. At least it’s different than a loss 20 years ago. Sending hugs.

No, we never stop missing them. At the time it felt like time stood still, and now it feels like it flew by when I wasn’t looking.

Dawn, what a Great father’s day post – and I loved the photos you chose for a succinct post – we get to see the different parts of your dad – and his nice smile (and my dad dies 21 years ago – so I like how yo mentuioned the 20 ywars went by fast… sigh – time has flown)

thanks! We almost lost him ten years before that – in 1994 – and so it did make it a little easier when he passed – felt like borrowed time.

A dad’s unconditional love is such a gift. I hope you still can feel it. 🥰
