I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

  1. Dawn, that is one of the most beautiful images I’ve ever seen. Period. the colours, the detail that shows on Katie’s coat, the dock, the sky reflected in the water, the way the light hits the white spots on Katie’s ear and nose. Amazing. I would hang this on my wall. If it was in a calendar, I’d cut it out and frame it. This is award-worthy.

    • Thank you! I liked it too. Actually it will be in a calendar; every year I make a “Katie Calendar” for my husband and me out of photos from the previous year, This will be in our 2019 calendar for sure.

    • Why you might be right! She’s been looking for treats no matter what we’re doing or where we go. She is so often disappointed I wouldn’t put it past her that she ordered her own shipment!

  6. This is a gorgeous shot, Dawn. The light, the colors, the reflections, and (of course!) the beautiful Katie. 🙂

    • I almost didn’t go down to the dock that evening. I saw the still water and the cloud reflections from the house, but we were in the midst of making dinner and I’ve got other shots of clouds in the water. Still…you never know, so I grabbed Katie and the camera and we ran down there before the light changed. I got a couple shots and that was it. Didn’t know till I looked what was there.
