Change Is Hard

…but change is certain.

Persistence

I’ve taken advantage of some of these unseasonally warm November days to clean up the perannial gardens.

Hidden under a carpet of fallen leaves.

And I’ve been surprised, more than once, at what I’ve found.

Tucked in among the grasses.

Just see what a little persistence can do.

Hope persists.

I'm a long time banker having worked in banks since the age of 17. I took a break when I turned 50 and went back to school. I graduated right when the economy took a turn for the worst and after a year of library work found myself unemployed. I was lucky that my previous bank employer wanted me back. So here I am again, a long time banker. Change is hard.

  2. A lovely bloom. We’ve got leaves here, plenty of them– but the perennial flowers are long gone from the garden. Except for one geranium in a pot that I’ve moved close beside the house. Fingers crossed I can keep it alive until Thanksgiving… just because.

  7. Have I got a perennial garden to clean for you!!! Mine has been so neglected this Summer, it’s hard to discern plant from weed.
